Junior IT Support Technician
Los Angeles (Beverly Hills), hybrid, about 60% remote
$70,000 per year · Full-time
About the role
We Solve Problems is a managed IT services provider in Los Angeles. We support small businesses, mostly law firms and professional services. We are a team of six, and this is the seat where most of our client contact starts.
You will be the first person a client reaches when something stops working. Some of what comes in you will fix yourself. The rest you will hand to a senior engineer with enough detail that they do not have to start over. Both count as doing the job well.
What you'll own
Client support by phone, email, and ticket. Desktop troubleshooting across Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365 problems, and the everyday business applications our clients live in. Networking basics when a site is misbehaving.
You will also work our projects, some on site at a client office and some remote. Tickets stay current and documentation stays organized, because the next person to touch that client should not have to guess what you did.
What we're looking for
Problem solving and communication matter more here than any specific tool. Our clients are executives at law firms. They are smart and busy, and they do not want a lecture about DNS. You need to explain a technical thing to someone who does not think in technical terms, and stay clear under a little pressure.
You should know your way around Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals. You do not need to have run a helpdesk before. You do need to want to learn how an MSP actually works, which is different from internal IT in ways that take a while to feel.
Reliable transportation is a real requirement, not a formality. Client sites are spread across Los Angeles and some visits are same day.
Nice to have
- Helpdesk or MSP experience
- CompTIA A+ or Network+
- Time in a ticketing system or an RMM tool
Hours and how we work
Full-time, based in Los Angeles, roughly 60% of your week remote and the rest on site or at the office in Beverly Hills. If you are looking for a fully remote job, this is not that, and it is worth knowing now rather than three interviews in.
There is no on-call rotation and no expected overtime. We document everything in Autotask and Hudu, and we use Claude daily for ticket triage, summaries, and runbook drafting.
Our stack
Autotask PSA, NinjaOne RMM, Hudu documentation, Microsoft 365, Intune, modern security tooling. You will learn these here if you have not touched them yet.
How we work together (our values)
We rate every hire and every quarter against these. They are not poster words.
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity. Set clear expectations so clients always know what is next.
- Commit to everything we do. Every ticket, every project, full attention.
- Take ownership. If you see a problem, it is yours until it is resolved or properly handed off.
- Do the right thing. Recommend what actually solves the client's problem, not what is easiest.
- Sweat the small stuff. Document so the next person can pick up where you left off.
Benefits
- Flexible schedule, about 60% remote
- No on-call rotation and no mandatory overtime
- Paid training and certification exams
- Company MacBook
- Gold PPO health insurance
- 401(k) with a 4% safe harbor match
